1、 What materials are used for hot forging molds

1. Cr Mo alloy steel: Cr Mo alloy steel is a commonly used hot forging die steel, mainly composed of alloy elements such as chromium and molybdenum. This material has high hardness and wear resistance, making it suitable for manufacturing large molds and molds under high load working conditions.

2. 4Cr5Mo2SiMnV1 (code Y1 and 4Cr3Mo3W4VTiNb (code GR) steel is a new type of hot work mold steel with a service life 2-6 times higher than that of 3Cr2W8V steel. It is suitable for manufacturing molds with high temperatures, long contact time with workpieces, and easy to cause thermal deformation collapse or thermal wear failure.

3. H13 is a commonly used hot work mold steel with excellent heat and corrosion resistance, which can maintain high hardness and stability at high temperatures. It can be used to process various metal materials, such as copper alloys, titanium alloys, etc.

4. Cast iron is an economical and practical hot forging die material with high hardness and compressive strength. Cast iron has low cost and can be used to manufacture large molds. In addition, cast iron also has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance. However, cast iron has poor plasticity and is not suitable for manufacturing molds with complex shapes.

5. Forging die material reference: Hot forging die steel includes: H13, 3Cr2W8V, LG, 8566. Among them, 8566 has good high-temperature resistance, with a hardness of HRC58-60, high hardness, and good wear resistance. LG mold steel has excellent toughness and uses a hardness of HRC54-56. H13 is currently the most commonly used medium grade hot work mold steel in China.

6. Mr. Wan's mold is a special-shaped part made of hot forged 45 steel material. When using H13 mold steel, the mold is prone to softening, and the repaired mold is also prone to cracking. In order to improve the lifespan of the mold and increase production efficiency, Mr. Wan began to try 8433 mold steel.

2、 What materials are good for hot pressing molds

1. Alloy steel: Alloy steel is a high-quality mold material with high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance, and good toughness. This material is suitable for manufacturing large hot pressing molds or high demand molds. Tool steel: Tool steel is a commonly used mold material with high hardness and strength, suitable for manufacturing small hot pressing molds.

2. Cast steel is a low-cost and well processable hot pressing mold material, suitable for manufacturing medium to low precision molds. Hot worked steel is suitable for manufacturing molds with medium precision. Non metallic materials include ceramics, graphite, nylon, resin, etc.

3. What material is good for hot extrusion mold steel? Common grades recommended: H13 mold steel, HD mold steel, Y4 mold steel, GR mold steel, HQ-33 mold steel,/H13 hot forging mold steel/H13 hot extrusion mold steel
